The fascination with reality television has always been surprising to me. Why get invested in or lost in someone else’s life when you have your own to live? There is so much to learn and experience from time with others and the adventures of our own!
I am a curious person and am open to and have tried many different things to enrich my life and the lives of others. Life can take its toll on us, so learning how to build our physical and emotional strength to be the best we can be is important to me. My source of stability and learning has always come from books, classes, time with my family and friends, and especially time alone reflecting. Many people have shared with me in the past that others might benefit from my life experiences and the wisdom gained through them, so I’m exercising my vulnerability muscle in hopes that we might be able to have a conversation.
It seems at some point in most people’s lives they wonder what their purpose is. We read books like Richard Warren’s Purpose Driven Life and spend countless hours deliberating over what our purpose might be. Some even wonder if their life has meaning if they’re not doing something grandiose, are a national best-selling author, acclaimed public motivational speaker, or have some type of large platform to deliver their message. Maybe I was even one of those people? What I’ve come to realize as of late, is that the most important aspect of my life is the desire to give back and serve. If this blog does nothing other than provide a perspective or sense of semblance and rational legitimacy to someone’s life, then writing about my time spent living, loving, and learning might be of some value to someone else. So, for that reason and others, I am sharing through this blog.
I hope and pray that during this time in our lives we can take time to be mindful of our own thoughts and actions and how we might best give back and improve our lives and the lives of others.
Sending light and love,
